Chuck is a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Over the course of his service, he played with volunteer and Reserve military bands in Edmonton, Calgary, Comox, Moose Jaw, and Oklahoma City. During that time, he also played in several community jazz and concert bands, and in dozens of local theatre productions.

In 2015 Chuck retired from the Air Force and moved to Calgary for the second time, having previously lived here to attend Mount Royal University in the 90’s. In 2017 he started subbing with Prime Time Big Band and became a full time member the following year. Since then, highlights have included the privilege of playing alongside Al Muirhead, and the guest appearances of Gary Guthman, Mike Tomaro and Jens Lindemann.
