ABOUT THE BAND

Welcome to Ninth Avenue Band! Feel the groove, feel the sound, feel the energy.

 

Hailed as one of Canada’s best, Ninth Avenue Band consists of 18 full time members, and performs live in Calgary, Alberta, and across Canada. The band has a wide range of repertoire suited for audiences of all ages and musical tastes, from traditional jazz charts to funk, R & B, and Latin.

 

The band’s members are high level, professional musicians with a wealth of experience across all genres, having played with big bands, small jazz groups, orchestras, chamber groups and performing in musical theatre and Broadway productions. Each player brings their own unique sound and personality to the performances. Live performances showcase the band’s experience; many of the members having played together for over 30 years.
