

Jeremy Coates
Bass
Bass player Jeremy Coates, a native of Calgary, Alberta, is excited to be working with Calgary’s Ninth Avenue Band. Currently employed in many areas of the music industry, Jeremy is one of Western Canada’s busiest bassists, with more than twenty years of performing and teaching experience.
Since returning to Calgary in 2004, Jeremy has performed with artists such as Bob Brookmeyer, Nicholas Payton, Randy Brecker, Eric Marienthal, and Canadian artists; Jake Langely, Guido Basso, Mike Murley, PJ Perry, Jens Lindemann and Tommy Banks. He has performed with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and been a faculty member at The Banff Centre.
Jeremy has been part of large touring musicals such as Bjorn Again, Billy Elliott, Beautiful, and Wicked as well as local performances of Next To Normal, Cats, The Little Prince, Jersey Boys, Mama Mia, Legally Blonde, Forever Plaid and Anne of Green Gables. He has performed in the United States, Canada, England, China, Russia, Israel, Costa Rica, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and has performed at the Montreux jazz festival in Europe.
